Why Polish companies look at the Emirates
This is general information, not tax or legal advice. Rules depend on your activity and structure.
- 100% foreign ownership. Since June 2021, foreign investors can fully own onshore companies in most activities, without a local partner. Free zones have always allowed full ownership.
- Agreements with Poland. The UAE and Poland have signed agreements on the avoidance of double taxation and on the promotion and protection of investments.
- An established trade partner. According to the UAE Embassy in Warsaw, the UAE has been Poland's largest economic and trade partner in the Arab world for nearly a decade.
- A competitive tax system. The federal corporate tax rate is 9%, with a 0% rate on taxable income up to AED 375,000.
